Timber
Cruising Certification Committee
"certified
and accountable forestry professionals"
What is an Accredited
Timber Cruiser?
Under the
Forest Measurements Registration Board, the Timber
Cruising Certification Committee (TCCC) is responsible
for the professional certification of timber cruisers
practicing in BC. Accredited Timber Cruiser (ATC) and
Accredited Timber Evaluator (ATE) levels of certification
are federal marks registered by ASTTBC; they can only be
used by cruisers registered by TCCC.
When you
select an ATC or ATE member, you access: consistency and
quality; efficiency through experience; verifiable
qualifications; ethical accountability; and, protection
of the public interest.
Why Should You Use a
Professional?
Timber cruise
design and fieldwork requires knowledge and experience of
professionals. With increased professional reliance under
the Foresters Act, there is every expectation that
cruisers, given their critical role, will also need to be
fully qualified and accountable. Timber cruisers
certified by TCCC are professionally fully qualified and
accountable.
Innovation,
value of service, and accountability are all marks of an
ATC or ATE.
